I'm from Santa Fe, New Mexico. I've been an artist my whole life and have always been fascinated by tattoos. My dad always made it very clear that he would be very disappointed in me if I got a tattoo, but I knew from a young age that I wanted them. I used to work next door to Four Star Tattoo in Santa Fe, and one day walked in and made an appointment not knowing what I wanted. I ended up pulling some black and grey flowers off of a piece of flash and Jeff ended up tattooing it on my hip. He said it was a great first tattoo and I thought he was crazy because I thought it would be my only tattoo. Within three months I had five more grey flowers. I then got a couple more tattoos, one of which I had lasered off recently. Finally, when I moved to Orange County I found an artist named Jen Davis at Outer Limits Tattoo in Orange, California.
She has tattooed roses and swallows down my side and colored in the grey roses to match everything else. I have learned to be very picky about what I get tattooed on me and where. None of my tattoos really mean anything to me; they are just beautiful and for the most part match. I hate non-matching tattoos. There’s nothing worse than a tribal sleeve and a Japanese sleeve on the same person. Bucky Crispin did the huge anchor on my back that covers up the lame tribal angel I had lasered off. I plan to possibly sleeve my right arm if I get the courage to do so. If I ever get to a sleeve it will be by Jen and Josh Davis at Outer Limits Tattoo. I like all of my tattoos to be pretty. My paintings are very dark and political in content and I didn’t want anything like that on my skin. I like having tattoos and feel more beautiful with them.
