Starting in 2005 when I was first getting serious with photography I was shooting models for fun. Most start off getting the glamours blondes and such but I was fascinated with the alt styles. The punk rock and goth and especially with ink. So I started The Female Canvas project featuring all types of women with just one tattoo to the full body of ink. I think the curves and natural beauty that is the female form makes a great canvas for todays great tattoo artists. All images on the site currently have been photographed by myself, Jeff Davidson otherwise known as Cosmic Frogs Photography. I have beed photographing various subjects professionally now for over 8 years and have been having the best time ever doing so. Started off shooting youth sports back in 2003 then adding models and in the past few years a full time studio shooting maternity, children and families. I still always enjoy shooting for this project even though it dosent happen as much as I would like now (but Im looking to change that)

This site is meant to showcase the beauty of women with tattoos and does so often times with nudity. We try to always do so in a tasteful and artful way that will always depict the beauty of the subject, both the women and the ink. It is not a porn site and try to have it not associated as such.
